I may have posted this at the time but if not then here it is for me to enjoy again.

Would the person who moved my car this morning then moved it back to the original spot please have some courtesy and come and see me. After you have nicely tried to move the brick wall a foot closer to the road, with my nudge bulbar (now forcing my whole nudge bar to be touching my grill and bumper bar). Also just because certain cars have nudge bars or bull bars or tow bars, that does not give to a directive to use these objects to the advantage of your disadvantaged driving methods, by using the tap and go method.
· It is obvious that some people think they are great drivers in everyone’s car – but clearly you are not, you don’t know the seat position or the mirrors in anyone’s car other than your own, so it makes sense to look out multiple times to see if you are clear, and not predict or guess the gap.
· It is obvious that some people see cars solely as a means of transport – but others take pride in their cars
· It is obvious by the numbers of scratches bumps and dents on some cars that it doesn’t bother some people – but they do bother others
The simple fact is, that when you are moving someone’s car, the old saying use to be “treat it like your own”, but clearly that is wrong in our workplace, so treat is like a rental car with no insurance.
The rules of getting in someone’s car have been made clear on many occasions but still, some people find it hard to get it through their head. Some quick rules that other can add to include:
1. Leave the car the way you found it
2. If an accident occurs, be honest and own up and tell that person
a. Even if it is a tiny tiny incident
3. Don’t change the CD songs or put a new one in
4. If there is a spare car park to put that car that you are moving, then move it to a car park, too often late at night there are cars left in the middle with spare car parks all around them. This is going to cause an accident one night because, someone is going to assume there is nothing behind them, then reserves into the car.
5. From now on only Nicole, Kevin, and Michael can move my car, everyone else will have to be inconvenienced – but one person does ruin it for the others.
I don’t wish to waste anymore time on this matter, clearly some people need to change, and others need to learn honesty.
I’ll let others decide what name should be given to you……………..

This is an email that circulated at Commander here in Canberra where I worked for two weeks or so. I can't put my finger quite on why I find it amusing but I think it may be because at the time it seemed to come out of nowhere. No doubt the practice of moving each others car is common there though and they have rules and have had incidents in the past.
For whatever reason, our team at work has a mascot and it is this happy little character. The label on his ass came off a while ago and that lead to a dispute as to what sort of animal it's meant to be. Some say prarie dog, others say meerkat or a marmoset. Either way those answers are boring so I decided to dress up the little fellow a bit and really give him an identity. ( Revealing tell-all photos inside! )

If anyone can find this linking of celebrities and their child molestation scandals elsewhere on the net I will be dissapointed cause as far as I know I'm the first.
March 10, 1977 Roman Polanski allegedly molested a 13 year old model in the home of Jack Nicholson. Jack Nicholson is good friends with Marlon Brando. Marlon Brando allegedly molested his daughter Cheyenne according to his ex-wife who claimed she'd read it in their daughters diaries. Cheyenne committed suicide at 25. Marlon Brando was "a long-time close friend of the entertainer Michael Jackson and paid regular visits to his Neverland Ranch, resting there for weeks".
I bet those guys had some wild parties together. Sat, Aug. 11th, 2007, 03:06 am

I received a very unusual email this morning. I think it speaks for itself although I'm not entirely sure why I received it or what I should say in reply. The imdb link in his email goes to the page for the documentary Relics: Einstein's Brain. 0n that page, my review is the default one (of two) that is displayed. I've included that below as an additional reference. ( my review of the documentary and the email I receieved )Tue, Feb. 20th, 2007, 09:04 pm
Today it seems some guy in the nature reserve near our house had an accident. Some random who was walking said the victim had been following him for a while and trying to get his attention but he hadn't noticed immediately. We were alerted to this because the walker fellow came to our front door asking for a glass of water for this guy. At this point he was sitting on the curb outside our house but my mum after having gone out to see him decided to be a good samaritan and invite him to try come inside and sit down. I watched from our front room as he made his way down the driveway and he was in a pretty bad shape and had blood pouring down from the top of his head around his left eye that had begun to soak his t-shirt. He also had some painful looking scrapes on his legs but I think they were just that. He did seem a bit shocked or dazed though and wasn't able to continue walking the last 1m to our front door and had to sit down rather quickly on our patio. This was where he lay down until an ambulance arrived. I have some pictures of it but none of the actual guy which I really wanted to but I had been distracted for too long keeping hold of Sooty so that he wouldn't run out and bother this person. ( pictures below the cut )Fri, Jan. 12th, 2007, 07:00 pm just pringles
It seems Woolworths is having some sort of sale on pringles as they are $1.60 at the moment. I sent my mum out to pick up a selection and here's the result,

Well I'm bored enough so here's a quick picture post. This arrived today at work and was handed to me. Its from the recruitment agency I use. ( click here to see whats inside )Overall I was pretty pleased with it. There's some interesting things in there and it was a nice surprise. In other news I have no hobbies, few interests and am bored a lot of the time.

Our house has taken a couple of hits from the weather storm conditions over the weekend period. ( Here are some pictures of that. )
Q: Why is it that people say they “slept like a baby” when babies wake up every two hours? A: Because babies generally fall asleep fast and look very content and happy
Q:If a deaf person has to go to court, is it still called a hearing? A: Yes
Q: Why does Goofy stand erect while Pluto remains on all fours? They’re both dogs! A: Goofy has intelligence (however it isn't very apparent) but enough to talk and walk upright. Pluto is a dog and doesn't have the mental capacity to perform such acts
Q: What is the speed of darkness? A: According to Einstein, darkness is just the absence of light
Q: If the temperature is zero outside today and it’s going to be twice as cold tomorrow, how cold will it be? A: Since most temperatures by scientists are measured in Celsius; -17.7777777777777 degrees Celsius is 0 degrees Fahrenheit, so, -35.44444444444 (repeated) degrees
Q: If it’s true that we are here to help others, what are the others doing here? A: Never heard that ever... Ever... Wed, Nov. 29th, 2006, 05:46 pm

The other weekend my mother took me around to her friend from work's house to see her two newish corgie puppies. This woman is late 30's early 40's and lives with her parents. They're all nice enough and her dogs rule. I had heard it mentioned before that there was this building this woman had had built in the backyard to house her collectibles but the possibility that I'd get to see it on this visit hadn't occurred to me. Luckily she offered and I had some sort of camera on me. The pictures are not great however but give a rough enough idea as to the extent of her collection and the size of this building in her backyard built just to house these things. Who drew this? What is it refering to exactly? I thought I knew but now I don'tI found this picture in the bottom of one of my regular use drawers. I estimate it can't be much older than a couple of months. The writing looks familiar, the drawing style looks kind of familiar, but its not by who I had originally thought. "You think there's all this mystery. You think there's puzzles, you think there's some kind of higher-order, but honestly, we're just a bunch of drunk, dirty old men. That's it. Sorry. Trying to trick you into sending us dirty photos on the Internet. That's it. That's all there is. So, in case you want our email address, that's uh..." - Maynard James Keenan, 07/04/2006 Tue, Nov. 21st, 2006, 02:37 pm
The frustration of not only losing things when you thought you knew where you had left them but of having to look through other peoples indiscriminate piles of things in the process of trying to find them. These are the days that make it all worthwhile
I cannot wait for some steady goddamn employment so I can finally move out of here. Ideally I will set up my shit the way I like it and I won't get in situations like these where I can't find something but I have other people to blame. Damn me, I must've put these two wireless cards in the way more cluttered and disorganised "storage/computer" room on some random whim. I have zero recollection of doing that and thus little motivation or faith in looking in the other room for them
I didn't think I had or could've misheard this lyric but apparently it is supposed to be, "The time is long overdue for us cleaving all of our souls"
but I always heard it and sung it to myself as, "The time is long overdue for a house cleaning of the/our soul/s"
Well now I've ruined part of it for myself by looking it up just for general reference of the rest of the lyrics and to copy/paste them here as I tend to do. Appropriately enough the first couple of lines are still worth my while;
"Have you ever wondered why those days exist When life just seems to be the conspiracy against you I don't know where the answers lie But I try not to get hung up on the questions"
Yes, good advice Lamb. It would be great if I could practice the positive ideals in the music I listen to and ignore or not take too seriously the negative ones, real or perceived. Oh and just for completeness sake, the song is called Bonfire but that isn't too important I don't think to anyone other than myself |
